  • Reporting to: IT Director
  • Role Status: Permanent, Monday – Friday only
  • Remuneration Package: € depending on experience.

About the Job
You will be part of a team of 8 with a focus on IT systems development. We are looking for a talented junior software engineer to expand this team to help us drive development of our exciting platform. In this role you will work closely with our development and product team to design, build, modify and support existing and future business products. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and be on the right side of the change that is sweeping this industry. A real desire to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment is essential.

  • ✓ Meeting with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
  • ✓ Developing solutions to meet stakeholder specifications
  • ✓ Working in a Scrum Team environment to deliver new features on a daily basis
  • ✓ Assisting and working on helpdesk queries for 150 users

Skills & Experience
Customer service is paramount and the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate this to the highest level.

The following knowledge & skills are preferable:

  • ✓ Third level degree in an IT related discipline is essential
  • ✓ Excellent knowledge of programming and OOD concepts
  • ✓ Knowledge of and interest in JavaScript frameworks Ember (preferable), Angular or React
  • ✓ Knowledge of and interest in Java (preferable), .Net (C#) or other OO language
  • ✓ Knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments
  • ✓ A good understanding of UI/UX for Web Applications.
  • ✓ Understanding of Bootstrap and CSS
  • ✓ Knowledge of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MySQL) and SQL
  • ✓ Ability to write clear, concise and commented code
  • ✓ Excellent general IT skills and knowledge of software systems

Selective Travel Management is looking to recruit an experienced Business Travel Consultant to join our out of hour’s team working from home.

Job Description
You will be part of a team of home-based travel consultants responding to queries from corporate clients & travel agents across the UK & Ireland. You will play a vital role in ensuring we continue to exceed our service level agreements and fulfil our customer requirements by providing the highest level of customer service and best value for money.

Hours of Work
ou will be required to work in a rolling shift pattern to meet our client and business needs. The shift pattern will start at 1730 Monday – Friday to midnight and may include some overnight shifts once full induction programme and training has been completed. Weekend shifts will vary between the hours of 0930 to midnight and again may include some overnight shift once full induction programme and training has been completed.

Role of a Business Travel Consultant

  • ✓ Deal with enquiries from our corporate clients who consist of SME’s, Government bodies and the Higher Education sector across the UK and Ireland & travel agents over the phone and by email
  • ✓ Using three GDS to make reservations including: flights, hotels, car hire, rail and other business travel needs
  • ✓ Offering excellent customer service to all our clients

Key Accountabilities

  • ✓ Process amendments and cancellations as requested by the client in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with the company standards.
  • ✓ To issue, re-issue and perform re-calculations of international and domestic airfares within the booking conditions.
  • ✓ Ensure all communication both written and verbal is professional, accurate in accordance with SLA’s.
  • ✓ Take ownership of customer issues solving problems without hesitation or delay.
  • ✓ Ensure the highest level of customer service is offered to all our clients at all times

Key Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • ✓ GDS experience essential (preferably Galileo or Amadeus)
  • ✓ Excellent knowledge of net & published.
  • ✓ A strong client focus
  • ✓ Accuracy and ability to follow complex instructions
  • ✓ Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • ✓ Well organised and quick to prioritise workload
  • ✓ Ability to think logically and consider all relevant aspects with strong analytical skills
  • ✓ Knowledge of booking flights, hotels, rail, car hire and other ancillary items
  • ✓ Be able to work on your own as well as part of a team
  • ✓ Ability to work under pressure and to precise time frames is paramount

➤ WTC Consol Travel Consultant – Roomteam Specialist

Due to continued growth, WTC Belfast are seeking a new team member whose main role will be to offer sales support to the NI travel trade for our Roomteam dynamic packaging product.

  • ✓ The successful candidate will assist in confirming new bookings, amending existing bookings and performing a variety of other tasks to help drive the package holiday division of the WTC business.
  • ✓ They will also be required to assist with the Consol seat only product when necessary.
  • ✓ Ideally candidates should have 2 years Travel Agency experience.
  • ✓ While a working knowledge of GDS is preferred it is not essential as full training will be provided.
