FAM TRIP WITH ICELANDAIR

FAM TRIP WITH ICELANDAIR

20170616_113559Just back from an amazing jam-packed trip to Iceland and Canada.

DAY ONE

Travelled from Belfast City to Reykjavik with Air Iceland. Basic airline with no meals included in economy class. Almost 3 hours later, arrived at Keflavik Airport where we were transferred straight to Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. What a way to get to know each other! An amazing place – steaming hot water, algae face masks and drink in hand. They only allow 3 drinks per person as don’t want it to turn into a pool party – you couldn’t afford much more at £9.00 for a half cider.

Rachel’s Great Adventure – The Big 5

1-1476619831-prrrrrfectThis morning we had and early start and flew from Durban to Port Elizabeth. We drove the short drive from Port Elizabeth to Amakhala (45 minutes) for two sight inspections at Bush Lodge and Hlosi Game Lodge. Bush lodge is ddiscreetly positioned in the bush at the top end of an open valley in the reserve, each of the superlative en-suite, tented and thatched suites overlooks a watering point with big sky views. The main lodge offers luxurious dining, splendid lounge areas and an expansive viewing deck with magnificent views of game-filled plains. Evenings are spent around the outdoor fireplace admiring the unspoilt African star-scape.

Jenny Fletcher, Business Travel Consultant based in the Belfast Office shares her FAM trip with Etihad Airways to Abu Dhabi
My recent trip to Abu Dhabi can only be summed up as Fantastic!!
I had previously been to Dubai, so was keen to see a different city so close and they are certainly very very different.
My favourite being Abu Dhabi due to its relaxed atmosphere and way of life. The perfect trip for me would be a combination of both.

Helen’s experience – Mauritius

2.1462976790.day-tripping-on-a-catamaranMauritius has been on my bucket list for a very long time. As a travel consultant I have sold this Island as a destination for many years now especially for the honeymoon and luxury market, but have always wanted to visit those white sandy beaches and aquamarine sea views for myself and truly get a feel for what Mauritius is all about.. The sand is just as white as you would imagine and skies are just as gorgeous.

Helen’s experience – Turkish Airlines business class lounge

Helen’s experience – Turkish Airlines business class lounge

2.1462890369.1-turkish-airlines-business-class-lounge-istanThere is a very good reason this lounge is an award winning business class lounge, It’s very large in size which means that it has something for everyone from the youngest of passengers to those who just want comfort and bit of solace in between flights.

The lounge is spread between two floors and has a multitude of excellent facilities from a movie theatre, to a library, luggage storage, children’s play rooms, golf putt area and not to mention the catering side of things which is also exceptional.
The perfect place to break the journey..
